| 摘 要： | 五四以来，“饿死事小，失节事大”一语，成为程朱理学迫害妇女最重要的口实和理论污点。然而，考究本原，程颐不仅规约妇女不许再嫁，也对男性提出不许再娶的要求。朱熹与吕祖谦编《近思录》，引用程颐“饿死事小，失节事大”的同时，也引用程颐父亲“取甥归嫁”一段入“家道”章，其本意不是为了宣扬禁止妇女再嫁。考察我国古代婚姻制度。禁止妇女再嫁源远流长，绝非始于宋代，在缺乏社会保障的古代，妇女改嫁涉及养老抚孤的基本伦常。因此，“饿死事小，失节事大”作为基本原则有其特殊的伦理价值。历代统治者为了自身的利益，借理学之名将一种理想化的道德精神制度化，使得无数妇女成为节烈的殉葬品。这样的过错怎么可以委罪于程颐与朱熹呢？

| Abstract: | Since the May 4th Movement of 1919,the idiom—— ＂ To be footy as hungry to death,to be grave as losing one＇s chastity ＂—— has been regarded as both the most important affidavit and theoretical stain of Cheng-Zhu＇ s idealist doctrine wherewith to persecute women. Nevertheless, from the origination,Cheng Yu not only forbade women＇s remarriage, but also asked men not to marry again. While citing Cheng Yu＇s ＂To be footy as hungry to death,to be grave as losing one＇s chastity＂ in compiling Jin Shi Lu（Annal of Rethinking）, Zhu Xi and Lv Zu cited in Chapter Jiadao （Family Morality） Cheng YU father＇s sayings of ＂qu sheng gui jia＂ which,in essence,did not advocate forbidding women＇s remarriage. Based upon Chinese ancient marriage system envisaged, forbidding women＇s remarriage has long history and been well established, and indeed not from Song Dynasty onset,as in the ancient time characterized by short of social guarantee, women＇s remarriage involved fundamental ethic of providing for the aged and orphan. Hence,as a principle,the idiom of ＂To be footy as hungry to death, to be grave as losing one＇s chastity＂ constituted special ethic value. To the advantage of each one,every dynastic monarch systemized this idealization of moral doctrine under the cloak of the idealist doctrine. Thereby countless women had been victimized as wanting to uphold their chastity. How will it be proper to attribute this mistake to Cheng Yu and Zu Xi？ |
