| Abstract: | Having studied the 'attribution' and using a structured questionnaire, the author analyses the successful and unsuccessful athletes who are of the same and different sexes. The results indicate that those who succeed in the game attribute their success more to the stable inner factor (ability); whereas the unsuccessful athletes attribute their failure to the uncertain yet controllable inner factor--individual effort. |
