| 摘 要： | 冯其庸先生支持项羽“身死东城”而非“乌江自刎”一说，立论基础在对《史记·项羽本纪》中“项王乃欲东渡乌江”一句的分析上，而强调“欲”字，项羽仅是“欲”东渡而未曾东渡。分析《史记》中“欲”字的用法可以看出其立论不成立，“欲”丝毫不影响后面的句子表达另外的或者正相反对的意思，或者说，欲字的含盖性极弱，覆盖面很小，它往往只能涉及紧跟之一词，如果是动词，则只能约束到一个词。它的力量仅仅如此而已。项羽身死之“东城”与自刎之“乌江”乃交互成文，实指一地。由此，项羽死于乌江自不待言。

| Abstract: | Feng Qiyong holds the standpoint of Xiang Yu＇ s death in Dongcheng City but not in the Wujiang River, which is based on the analysis of ＂King Xiang is going to go eastward to the Wujiang River＂ in Xiang Yu in Historical Records. ＂Is going to＂ cannot definitely refer to Xiang didn＇t go eastward to＇the Wujiang River. In fact Xiang＇ s death in Dongcheng City or the Wujiang River is the same referent accordingly. So the death place is the Wujiang River unquestionably. |
