Abstract:A moment-based operator for 3D edge detection has been already pro-posed for isotropic volume data. However, the 3D medical data sets which are recon-structed from a sequence of cross-sectional sliees (such as X-CT, MRI,etc.) areusually anisotropic. In this paper, the moment-based operator to anisotropic volumedata is generalized. Two solutions, based on deformation model and implicit interpo-lation model,are briefly described. Some exporimental results are given.
