汉酒事小考二则

摘    要:"数石"是汉代好酒量的标志,但当时的酒精含量不高,因此汉代饮酒者的酒量与今人相仿;酺最初是一种族群祭祀活动,在战国时期,演变为国家组织的宴饮庆祝活动,群聚宴饮是庆祝活动的主要项目,到了秦汉,并非所有的吉瑞之事都要行酺,酺只是一种具有或然性的举措,"酺"含义的变化反映了民间群聚宴饮的扩展。因聚众饮酒不仅耗费务农者的时间和钱物,还有可能引发人际纠纷,故有汉律禁止"无故群聚饮酒",但随着国家禁令出现了松弛,不得"无故饮酒"成为一纸空文。

Two Matters on Wine in Han Dynasty

Abstract:In Han Dynasty,several "Shi"(石) has become a badge of a person's good drinking capacity.At that time the alcohol volume is not high,therefore,people's drinking capacity in Han Dynasty is similar to people nowadays."Pu"(酺) initially stands for sacrifice and turns to be the national feast which becomes the major activity of celebrations in the Warring States Period.When it comes to Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty,"Pu" is not any more a must for all celebrations,but an occasional measure.The change of the status of "Pu" reflects the change of the tradition of feast through the history.Group gathering and wine drinking will not only grab labors' time and property,but also possibly cause disputes among people.Therefore,the laws of Han Dynasty prohibit gathering and wine drinking without proper reasons.However,the prohibition ends up being blank due to the gradual inaction of laws.
