| Abstract: | The two common phrases in modern Chinese,"laying foundation" and "making sacrifice",come from the shocking custom of archaic times.The custom,though not well recorded in classical Chinese literature,is found in archeological study of the Shang dynasty,as well as in the folk custom of various parts of the world.The similarity of the world culture reveals certain vicious custom of ancient time that is unfamiliar to us. |
