| Abstract: | unnan tropics is one of the areas with the richest tropical forest types in China and a minority nationality inhabited area as well.Rich experience in using and protecting tropical forests and their biodiversity have been accumulated by local ethnic peoples in their prolonged. production practices.Based on extensive investigations,the paper identifies the methods:both traditional and newly developed,in using tropical forests in Yunnan and analyzes their economic and ecological effects.Meanwhile theories and methodologies on sustainable utilization of tropical forests that needed to be studied are raised accordingly. |
