| 摘 要： | 由于法国大革命的特殊经历，19世纪上半期的法国成为自由主义理论发展的中的心，贡期刊当与托克维尔代是其中最杰出的代表。他们探讨的关键问题是，在一个正在到来的民主社会里如保护个人自由。他们对自由概念、对无限人民主权悖论的探讨，对多数暴政的阐述，对自主社团与自由关系的分析，对民主功用的发挥，为自由、民主理论的发展作出了重要贡献。

| Abstract: | Because of the special experience of the great revolution,France became the center of the development of liberal theory in early nineteenth century.Constant and Toqueville were the two most famous thinkers.The most important question they thought over was how to protect the individual freedom in the coming democratic society.They analysed the idea of freedom,the dilemmas of limitless popular sovereignty,the tyranny of majority,the significance of autonomous corporation to freedom and the utility of democracy,which contributed a lot to the development of liberal and democratic theory. |
