| 摘 要： | 本文认为科学普及的社会功能应包括以下四个方面 :首先是提高国民科技素质的重要手段 ;其次有助于健全社会科技意识 ;对学校教育而言 ,科普工作是一个重要的配合与补充 ;对科学自身的进步和发展也同样具有十分重要的意义。

On the social functions of science popularization |

| Abstract: | The article lists four social functions of science popularizaion: 1) To enhance the public's scientific literacy; 2) To perfect scientific consciousness of the whole society; 3) To make up, supplement and concert the class-room education in schools and colleges; 4) To speed up the prosperity and development of science itself. |
