| 摘 要： | 动物习语是人类文明和语言进化的标志，是各民族独特民族文化和民族心理的积淀。语言与文化之间存在着相互制约相互作用的内在联系。英汉文化的共性和个性导致英汉动物习语的内涵意义之间呈现出不同程度的对称和不对称性。翻译是不同语言，不同文化，不同民族之间沟通和交流的桥梁和媒介，是译者适应翻译生态环境的选择活动。通过英汉动物习语文化内涵的对比，从翻译适应选择论的角度探析英汉动物习语的翻译方法和原则，以期为该领域的研究提供新的视角。

| Abstract: | Animal idioms, which denote the evolution of human civilization and language, are brightly reflecting national cultural heritage as well as its distinct psychology. Language interacts with culture. The universality and individuality of different cultural content account for varying degree of equivalence and non-equivalence in connotative meanings of many English and Chinese culturally-loaded animal idioms. Translation is the communication of different languages, cultures and nationalities, the process of which involves translators adaptation and selection in a translational eco-environment. Through the comparison of connotative meanings, the present article probes into the translation methods and principles of animal idioms in English and Chinese languages from the perspective of the theory of Translation as Adaptation and Selection, in hopes of sheddinz new lizht on the relevant study. |
