| 摘 要： | 文章从计算机等新技术在图书馆的应用、数字图书馆的发展前景、图书馆理论上的新进展以及新世纪图书馆的目标与功能等方面进行了探讨， 以期通过计算机技术、现代图书馆、信息社会独特性与相互关系的综合与归纳，在继承图书馆优秀传统的同时，展望图书馆光明的未来，并且认为经常性的理论反思，有助于图书馆事业的发展，有助于对新世纪图书馆模式与功能的认识与操作。
