Discussion on principles of organizing applied research and development
Authors:Paul Lvland

Abstract:General principles of sound organization are discussed in order to appraise their applicability to applied research and development. The appraisal is based on some ideas from the psychologically and sociologically oriented management schools such as the human relations, the socio-technical, and the organic systems schools. In general, the principles seem to hold for applied R&D. However, some minor changes are suggested.
