话语标记语与英语阅读理解

摘    要:阅读是人类交际的基本技能之一。在外语教学领域,阅读教学始终是关注的重点。对于外语学习者来说,阅读是获取和交换信息的一种重要途径,是作者和读者通过文本进行的一种交际。根据关联理论,阅读理解过程是解读作者意图的过程,阅读材料可能包括明说与暗含两个方面的信息,阅读理解以寻找、确定最佳关联为依据。而在此过程中,话语标记语会对读者的话语理解产生制约,对读者的话语理解进行引导,使其对话语的理解尽可能与作者一致,故它们是寻找关联过程中的一个重要依据。本文旨在揭示话语标记语在阅读理解中的作用及其对阅读教学的启示。

Abstract:Reading plays a critical role in human communication,and it is regarded as a primary skill to acquire in the field of foreign language teaching.It is a kind of communication between the writer and the reader through written words.According to Relevance Theory,the process of reading comprehension is a process of understanding the writer's intention,and in reading comprehension seeking optimal relevance is crucial.In this process,discourse markers function as guidelines to the reader,thus making the reader gets a full understanding of his intention.This paper aims to disclose the important functions of discourse markers in English reading comprehension and give some suggestions to English reading teaching.
