明清山陕商人与儒家文化

摘    要:山陕商人是我国明清时期最大的商人势力,他们由粮商、布商发展到盐商、茶商、票商,进而掌握了中国的经济命脉。他们之所以能成功,除了地理上的优势、艰苦奋斗精神外,就是把儒家忠义、诚信的理念和经营之道结合在一起。儒家文化的亲和力,使他们赢得了顾客,开拓了广阔的市场;但儒家文化的保守性,也使他们在与外国资本的竞争中迅速衰落。

Abstract:The dominant merchant force in the Ming and Qing dynasties of China, the businessmen of Shanxi and Shaanxi province developed from grain and cloth merchants into salt, tea, and bill traders, and they then controlled the economic lifelines of the country.The reason why they succeeded lied in that beside geographical advantages and hard struggling spirits, they combined loyal and faithful concepts of Confucian school with business ideas. The affinity of Confucian culture enabled them to open a vast market, while the conservativeness of Confucian culture also caused their rapid decay in competition with the foreign capital.
