| 摘 要： | 英语谚语具有诸多特点，英语的比喻结构包括明喻、暗喻、代喻、换喻和拟人等。文章从比喻这一修辞格着手，结合翻译理论，对英语谚语的特点进行了分析，进而指出对英语谚语及其翻译的研究，有利于我们了解英汉两种不同语言和文化，更好地服务于英语教学。

| Abstract: | There are many characteristics in the English proverbs.The figure of speech of the English proverbs is composed of such aspects as simile,metaphor,metonymy,synecdoche,personification,and so on.Starting from these points and some translation theories,this essay has analyzed some English proverbs and points out that the research into English proverbs and their translation will help us know more about the different languages and cultures of English and Chinese and also serve English teaching. |
