| Abstract: | Based on a comprehensive review of existing literature,this paper divides the process of informationalization in China into four distinct stages:the embryonic stage from 1978 to 1983,the startingup stage from 1984 to 1992,the rollingout stage from 1993 to 1997,and the accelerating development stage from 1998 to 2001.It then examines the characteristics of each stage and concludes that informationalization in China has reached a remarkable level. |
