| 摘 要： | 谚语大都言简意赅、寓意深刻,是人类在生活和实践中所获取的思考与感悟,其显著的特征是具有隐喻性。英汉谚语都属于概念系统的产物,反映了不同民族的认知特点,记载和表现了各自的物质、精神文化传统。作者基于隐喻理论,从象似性、范畴化、意象图式、完形心理等四个层面对英汉谚语的认知机制作了分析。

| Abstract: | Most proverbs are concise and meaniugfiul human thoughts which came from daily life experience. English and Chinese proverbs are products of the conceptual system with metaphorical feature. Both of them reflect the cognitive characteristics since they have kept the material and cultural traditions. This paper will make an analysis on their cognitive mechanism from four aspects： Ieonieity, Categorization, Image-schematic structure and Gestalt psychology. |
