| Abstract: | This article exposes the dilemma the African American people have before their cultural tradition through analyzing August Wilson's " The Piano Lesson". In this play Wilson attempts to express his idea that the black people should navigate the balance of their past and their future when they want to establish themselves in American society through resolving the problem of whether the piano should be sold or preserved. |
