| 摘 要： | 希腊神话对西方国家的社会生活的各个方面均产生了极其深远的影响,它不但是生机蓬勃的西方文化的源泉,而且深深地根植于西方各国的语言之中,成为了解和研究西方各国语言与文化的一把钥匙。就英语而言,希腊神话的深远影响可谓随处可见,因此,从词汇这一层面初步探讨希腊神话对英语的深刻影响将是非常有意义的。

| Abstract: | The significant influence of Greek mythology can be observed on various aspects of western society.It acts not only as an abundant and dynamic resource of western literature and culture but also as a key to learning and studying the languages of western countries for its deep rooting in these languages.As for English,Greek mythology's influence can be found in great amount.This paper is attempting to make a preliminary study of Greek Mythology's influence on English vocabulary. |
