| 摘 要： | The paper applies the theory of systemic functional grammar to the analysis of academic-paper abstracts. Itexplores the relationship between the three dimensions of the register of abstracts and the linguistic systems whichfunction as the realization of them. By carrying out this detailed analysis, the paper attempts to reveal the stylisticfeatures of academic-paper abstracts.
