| Abstract: | The theory of conversational implicature is an impor-tant content in pragmatics. Since its emergence and development, researchers have realized some internal relationships between this theory and the teaching of listening in English.It is generally believed that learning listening is of great complexity.In this pa-per, the author attempts to explain its importance for English lis-tening learners and reveal certain characteristics of English lis-tening by giving a preliminary explanation to the theory of con-versational implicature. |
