双关语在英语广告中的可译性研究

摘    要:双关语是英语广告中很常见的修辞手段之一,由于其可译性限度很低,翻译非常复杂。本文从语义双关、谐音双关、成语俗语双关、语法双关和其他方面对双关语的可译性进行分析,并提出分别表意、契合翻译、套用翻译、侧重翻译和补偿翻译的方法给广大翻译者提供参考。

Abstract:The translation of puns are extremely complicated,though puns are a commonly used figure of speech in English advertisement.This paper analyses the translatability of puns in English advertisement by grouping puns into such types as semantic puns,homophonic puns,idioms,colloquial puns,grammatical puns and the others.And the author of this paper puts forward five translation methods,hoping to offer some constructive references for the translators.
