| 摘 要： | 英汉两种语言中存在着大量的委婉语,要想深入理解二者的异同并进行翻译,须从文化心理的角度对其进行比较研究。本文通过对英汉委婉语产生的主要心理基础———禁忌避讳、避免粗俗、礼貌掩饰等的对比分析,揭示了英汉委婉语形成的相同的社会文化心理,并通过对两者文化的比较分析,结合实例,进一步探讨了委婉语的翻译方法。
