| 摘 要： | 随着国际学术交流的日益广泛，科技英语已经受到普遍的重视。本文分析了科技英语的语言特点：陈述客观准确，逻辑结构严密，专业术语性强，语气正式。被动语态的广泛运用是科技英语的一个突出语法特征。通过分析被动语态的语义价值及其功用，本文提出“忠实”、“通顺”两个重要翻译标准，并归纳总结了基本的被动语态翻译处理技巧。

| Abstract: | With the increasing international exchanges of science and technology, EST-English for science and technology-has been attached great importance to. This paper starts from the amlysis of the linguistic features of EST- impersonal, objective and accurate in statement, strict in logic structure, concentrated in technical terms, formal in mode of speech. The wide use of the passive voice is a distinguishing grammatical feature of EST. As far as translation is concerned, faithfulness and smoothness are the criteria for translators to abide by. From the analysis of the reason and the function, some basic techniques are needed in translation to achieve the criteria. |
