| Abstract: | An advanced cyclone MHD combustor possesses its own featuresin terms of the requirements of MHD power generation. In this paper,the au-thors try to sum up the advanced combustion techniques used in MHD com-bustors and explain their functions by theoretical and experimental investiga-tions,and analyze the effects of such factors as the swirl ratio, the first stageequivalence ratio and the coal particle size on the combustion efficiency, slagremoval rate and heat loss of combustors,on the basis of which . the authorsput forward some opinions about the further research areas for MHD combus-tors and their application prospects. |
