| 摘 要： | 本文从关联翻译理论的角度阐释汉语古诗类比式意象组合的英译过程,以期揭示类比式意象组合英译的交际和认知本质,并探讨基于关联理论的类比式意象组合英译策略。译者理解原诗类比式意象组合就是寻求意象组合与认知语境间最佳关联的过程,需理解意象组合方式所产生的特殊语境效果;翻译类比式意象组合就是将原诗意象组合的最佳关联在译文中进行传递的过程,可以根据原诗意象组合方式所提供的引导读者理解原诗的交际线索,通过改变译文读者的认知环境,尽可能在译诗中转存原诗意象组合方式。译者的最终目的是使类比式意象组合在译文读者的认知语境中产生和原诗意象组合类似的语境效果,并且让译文读者为此不用花费不必要的认知努力。

| Abstract: | This paper seeks to account for the translation of combination of analogical images from a relevance perspective.Translation of combination of analogical images is a special communication act with the aim of achieving optimal relevance.Interpreting combination of analogical images in the source poem is to search optimal relevance between the combination of images and the translator’s cognitive context.The translator should not only understand the connotation of single images,but also search the special contextual effects caused by the ways of combining images.The paper holds that translating combination of analogical images is to transfer optimal relevance of the source combination of images in the target poem.The specific ways of combining images in classical Chinese poetry provide crucial communicative clues that guide the audience to the interpretation intended by the poet.In order to make the translated combination of analogical images yield similar contextual effects,the translator should firstly adjust or enlarge the target audience’s cognitive environment and retain the original ways of combining images in the target poem.And the translator’s ultimate task is to make the translated combination of images yield similar contextual effects as the original. |
