| Abstract: | Master of professional vocabulary in English for Urban Rail Transit is the foundation of improving students＇ English proficiency in the field of Urban Rail Transit, it is one of the teaching objectives of English for Urban Rail Transit. The characteristics of professional vocabulary in English for Urban Rail Transit are as follows： conversion of common vocabulary into professional vocabulary, use of acronyms and compound words, formation of derivatives by afflxation. Effective professional vocabulary learning methods in English for Urban Rail Transit are as below： classification memory, master of lexical expression in British English and American English, use of synonyms, antonyms to make a comparison study, focusing on the phenomenon of a multi-word with same meaning, learning professional vocabulary in the context, strengthening the use of professional vocabulary. |
