Abstract:Hu Chun-dong's thought of cognitive communication foreign language teaching is mostly repre-sented in maintaining that language learning is the unity of cognition and communication, insisting on four principles such as the unity of communicative ability and language ability, the unity of oral and written languages, the unity of language and thinking, and language sense and discourse, and persisting in value orientation of practicability, wisdom and humanism.
