| 摘 要： | 文章以位于黔东大地上众多屯堡之一——盘石城为例,经详实的史料和实地调查,提出：明代修建于苗疆的各类屯堡,自然发挥了镇压少数民族的桥头堡的功能,但从盘石城的变迁来看,它们更多的是中华民族多元一体民族格局形成的重要见证。它们从一个纯军事的堡垒,逐渐演变为在各个时期发挥调节民族关系、规范民族交往秩序、见证民族文化的冲突与交流的重要作用。
