| 摘 要： | 杰克·伦敦的短篇小说《老头子同盟》以白鱼河边的印第安部落为背景描述了美国印第安人的反抗和灭亡的过程。本文从后殖民主义视角出发研究了小说中模式化的印第安形象和他们必然灭亡的悲剧命运。印第安模式化形象的塑造是殖民主义话语的一个重要组成部分。

| Abstract: | Based on the Indian tribes near the Whitefish River,the short novel The League of the Old Menwritten by Jack London describes the process of American Indians′struggle and demise.Proceeding from the perspective of post-colonialist,this article analyzes the stereotypical Indian images in the novel and their tragic fate of inexorable extinction.The portrayal of the stereotypical Indian images constitutes part and parcel of the colonialist discourse. |
