| 摘 要： | 习语是人类语言的精华,是伴随着语言的发展而逐渐形成和发展的。习语在中英语言中都被广泛使用。英汉文化中的习语在文化渊源方面存在着很多共性。习语是跨文化交际中的桥梁。理解一种语言的习语有助于我们更好地理解这个社会的文化,从而更好地应用这种语言。

| Abstract: | Idioms are essence of human languages, which gradually form and develop with the development of languages. Idioms are widely used in both Chinese and English, and they share many generalities as far as the cultural sources are concerned. Idioms can be viewed as a bridge in cross-cultural communication. Understanding idioms better helps us to understand the culture of the society where these idioms come into being, and hence helps us to use the language better. |
