| Abstract: | This paper aims at revealing the different influence of different types of strategic networks and industry clusters on corporate competitiveness, and conduct empirical research on Pearl River Delta. We find that: (1) The industrial networks can be divided into two types: product-relevant and product-irrelevant , the competitiveness of corporate in product-relevant strategic networks is bet ter than that in product-irrelevant strategic networks. (2) Industry clusters ca n be divided into vertical cluster and horizontal cluster, the competitiveness of corporate in the horizontals is better than that in the verticals. (3) The com petitiveness of corporate in horizontal-relevant clusters is much better than th at in vertical-relevant clusters, in horizontal-irrelevant clusters or in vertic al-irrelevant clusters. |
