儒学与人本主义教育思想比较

摘    要:作为中国传统文化最重要内容的儒学与当代西方人本主义教育思想有很多相似点和根本对立的地方。二家都坚持性善论为主流,儒家重视人的社会价值,人本主义强调人的自我价值,儒家培养大一统的君子道德人格,人本主义培养个性化的人格,儒家主张由教师给学生决定课程内容,人本主义主张由学生自主选择课程内容。儒家认为师生如君臣,人本主义坚持师生完全平等。

Abstract:There are quite a few similarities and differences in the educational ideology between Confucianism, which is the most important part of the Chinese traditional culture and the contemporary western humanism. They both stick to the main stream of the kindness of human nature. Confucianism devotes much attention to man's social value while humanism emphasizes the self-value of person.Confucianism trains men of noble character while humanism develops men of personality.Confucianism thinks it is up to the teacher to choose the curriculum for students while humanism believes it is up to students themselves to choose the courses they like. Confucianism thinks the relationship between the teacher and students is like the monarch and his officials while humanism insists that the teacher and students should be equal.
