摘    要:20世纪80年代后期至今,纽约市公立学校的第2学区进行了一场教学改革,数学教科书采用以建构主义为理论基础的CMP,在教学上强调合作学习.教改迫使学生以一种全新的方法来学习数学,同时,数学教师参加了长期的强制性在职培训;教改的效果尚无定论,因为在实施"纽约州新标准考试"的7年中(1999-2005年),全学区8年级数学成绩达标学生人数几经起伏.

Abstract:From the late 1980s till now,a pedagogical reform has been taking place in District 2 of New York City public school system.In mathematics,the mandated teaching method is cooperative learning,and the mandated textbook is Connected Mathematic Project,which is based on the theory of Constructivism.Under this reform,students study math in a different methodology.It is too early to conclude whether this reform has achieved its goal,since the percentages of students whose performance have reached the grade level have been going up and down in New York State's New Standard Test in Mathematics between 1999 and 2005.During the period,math teachers were mandated to take part in a long-term in-service professional development and this training became the channel for selecting and retaining math teachers for the District.
