| 摘 要： | ＂Chiang Kai-shek＂被误译成＂常凯申＂,主要是不熟悉汉字注音史尤其是威妥玛拼音所致。在汉字注音发展史上产生过重要影响的拼音方案主要有传教士方案、威妥玛-翟理斯方案、邮政式方案以及汉语拼音方案。其中,在翻译中国人名、地名等专有名词的历史上威妥玛拼音曾扮演过极其重要的角色,至今仍留有遗迹,甚至一些专名的拼译已成了今天约定俗成的译法。
