| 摘 要： | 秦汉的亭除了逐捕盗贼和供客止宿外，还具有关卡和邮驿组织的职能；亭长是在战国、秦时亭尉、校长的基础上逐渐演变而来的。秦时校长实即乡亭之长；汉初以后，都亭、乡亭之长均称亭长，校长则成了陵园令长之属吏。亭父身份为吏，与亭卒求盗不同，或即亭长的别称。亭长的地位在汉代（特别是东汉）呈现出明显的下降趋势。

| Abstract: | Ting in the Qin and Han Dynasties were not only regarded as catching the bandits and accommodations passengers,but also regarded as checkpoint and postal post.Ting Zhang evolved from Ting Wei,and Xiao Zhang in the Qin Dynasty.Xiao Zhang in the Qin Dynasty was Xiang Ting Zhi Zhang.After the early Han dynasty,they were called Ting Zhang.Ting Zhang's position declined in the Western Han Dynasty. |
