| Abstract: | Banned books are a result of cultural policy taken by feudalist ruling classes to safeguard their interests. Hence, they have a long history. Those appeared in the Song Dynasty constitute an important part of it. The article introduces four main classifications of banned books of the Song Dynasty, sorts out and analyses the reasons of their appearance, and inquires into the influences. |
