| 摘 要： | 《简·爱》是英国文学史上一部具有独特意义的长篇小说,在世界文学史上也占有重要的地位。它的成功取决于主要人物形象的塑造,也就是说,简·爱的形象决定了这部书的艺术成就,她的性格发展推动了小说情节的发展,成为故事展开的契机。本文试图通过对简·爱性格的基本特征、形成过程、形成原因进行探讨,以期较全面系统地领会作者的艺术匠心,并进而准确地把握简·爱形象的哲学意味。
