| 摘 要： | 根据弗洛伊德的本能理论，生存本能和死亡本能是人性中互相对立的两极，这两极之间的对抗和转化贯穿于整个生命过程和活动中。在短篇小说《马贩子的女儿》中，劳伦斯以纯熟的艺术手段诠释了本能理论。通过男女主人公的心理分析，探讨这篇心理小说中所体现的两种本能的相斥相合。
