| 摘 要： | 本文从如何科学认识城市规模作为切入点，提出新时期城市化发展的政策应该建立区域观念，因地制宜，促进大、中、小城市协调、健康、有序地发展。在些基础上，探讨了适合西部地区区情的西部城市化道路是：以中小城市为重点，加强完善现有特大城市和大城市，培育和增加二级中心城市功能，同时发展小城镇，逐步形成开放协调的西部城镇体系，以加快西部城市化步伐。

Recognition of the Size of City ——A Study on the Way of Urbanization in West China |

| Abstract: | The paper begins with the ways of scientific recognition of the size of city． Then the author proposes that the policy of Chinese urbanization in the new era should comprise the following aspects: establishing regional concept; developing the cities of big, medium and small size coordinately and healthily in the light of local conditions． Based on such analysis, the author points out the proper way of the urbanization in West China． |
