| Abstract: | From the perspective of cognition,this paper discusses the nature of metaphor and its relationship with teaching of English reading comprehension,and points out metaphor is not only the language phenomenon but also cognitive phenomenon.The author attempts to apply the mapping theory and cultural model into the teaching strategies of English reading comprehension. |
