| Abstract: | The Sino‐England "Treaty of Yantai" in 1876 makes Anhui Wuhu opened as an important trading port along the Yangtze River .This paper is devoted to summarize the economic development of An‐hui after the opening of Wuhu until the end of nineteenth century and the dual influence of the opening to A nhui . |
