英汉习语隐喻认知差异分析

摘    要:习语属于极其活跃的词汇,人类对习语的感知有一定的共性;但由于英汉在民族心理、历史传统、宗教信仰、生活习俗等方面存在较大差异,导致英汉两种语言中的习语隐喻认知颇有迥异之处。学习习语绝不仅仅是为了掌握它的"认知意义或词典意义",而要了解语言词汇特定的文化内涵,也只有做到对词汇文化内涵及文化差异的深刻理解,才能更准确地理解和使用习语,避免由于文化差异而引发的各种矛盾。

Abstract:Idiom belongs to the most active vocabulary and there exists certain common character in man's understanding idioms.But owing to the differences in the national psychology,history tradition,religious belief,geographic surrounding and life habit of English and Chinese nations,there arises different cognitive understanding with respect to the idiom metaphor in the two languages.For learning idioms it is absolutely not only to grasp their "cognitive understanding meanings" or "dictionary meanings";but is to understand the special cultural connotations of the language vocabulary.Only profoundly understanding the cultural connotation and the cultural difference of the vocabularies,can one still more profoundly and accurately understand and use idioms and acoid various contradictions caused by the cultural differences.
