| 摘 要： | 委婉语是人类交际过程中运用较为广泛的一种修辞表达手法,是各种语言共有的现象。从交际功能角度分析,英汉委婉语之间存在着惊人的相似之处。然而,在具体的语义场中,英汉委婉语的使用又会随着历史背景等因素的区别而有所不同。

| Abstract: | A euphemism is a commonly-used rhetoric skill during the process of Human＇s communication,and euphemisms exist in nearly every language.From the aspect of communicative function,English and Chinese euphemisms share great similarity.However,as to the aspect of social culture,English and Chinese euphemisms differ from each other in usage due to different historical backgrounds. |
