认知语言学对英语教学的启示

摘    要:传统的英语教学方法在词汇教学和阅读教学方面,一直都存在着虽大力投入但收效甚微的问题。近年来新兴的认知语言学以其独特的认知视角,重新认识了语言的本质,并提出了范畴化理论和图式理论等基本理论,对英语教学具有较高的参考价值,其在教学实践中的应用,尤其是在词汇方面和阅读方面的应用取得了良好效果。

Abstract:Traditional English teaching has been using lots of money and methods to improve students' English ability.But the result is not satisfying,especially in the respect of vocabulary teaching and reading teaching.Cognitive Linguistics,the newly developed subject,uses the cognitive method to find the essence of linguistics and puts forward the theory of categorization and schema has been used in the process of teaching vocabulary and reading,which is of reference value to English teaching and in teaching parctice,the result is satisfying,especially in the teaching of vocabulary and reading.
