| 摘 要： | 文章主要通过对语篇的衔接与连贯、连贯与语篇话题等关系的分析,以及对隐喻概念的界定,讨论了隐喻句作为主题句在语篇中是如何实现连贯性的,并且对具体的语篇进行了分析以证明主题隐喻的语篇连贯性。

| Abstract: | This paper focuses on how the metaphor existing in a topic sentence makes the text coherent.It first identifies the concept of coherence which is the semantic relationship of the text and its relationship with cohesion,then goes to define the term of metaphor which is both a linguistic phenomenon and a cognitive phenomenon.Finally the relation between topic of the text and coherence is illustrated for the purpose of displaying the relationship between metaphor in the topic sentence and textual coherence.In this paper,an analysis of a sample text forms the main body of this paper and proves the fact that metaphor is a kind of cohesive device to make text coherent. |
