| 摘 要： | 近代中国留学事业的开拓者容闳从参与洋务运动、维新运动到最后支持革命,从温和的改革者到激烈的革命者的曲折过程,不仅反映了一代留学生的心路历程,更反映了当时中国社会的变化.因此,他从“温和改良”到“走向革命”的一生,就像镜子一样映照了近代中国的历史走向.而且,他的个案又说明“革命”的发生往往是统治阶级不愿改革的政策所导致的.

| Abstract: | Yung Wing was the pioneer in the cause of students studying abroad in modern China.From participation in the Westernization Movement,reform movement to the final support for the 1911 revolution,his tortuous process from a moderate reformer to a violent revolutionarier,not only reflects the mentality of the students studying abroad,but also reflects social changes in modern China.Therefore his life,like a mirror,reflects the historical trend of modern China.His case illustrates that the occurrence of revolution is often due to the ruling class unwilling to reform. |
