| 摘 要： | 在西方文学中,水和水淹的意象是一种应用甚广的文学原型,这些意象在阿特伍德的小说中成为了女主人公们寻找自我、实现自我、抛却旧我、获得新生——这一心灵探索过程中一个个既具有关键作用又富有深意的仪式。结合原型理论,讨论水淹意象中体现出的仪式性,其中包括:女性重塑新我的再生仪式,获得理解的抚慰仪式,走向成熟的成人仪式,深入潜意识的自我完善仪式。通过发掘,为更好地解读阿特伍德的文学作品提供新的视角。

| Abstract: | In western literature,the images of water and drowning are literary archetypes of highly extensive uses.These images in Atwood's novels become a profoundly meaningful ritual of vital importance for the actress's soul exploring process——searching for self,achieving self,casting aside the old self and obtain a new self.Rituality reflected in the drowning image is discussed in this essay in accordance with archetype theory,including: the regeneration ritual of women's remolding new selves,the soothing ritual of being understood,the grown-up ritual of getting mature and the self-perfecting ritual of penetrating deeply into sub-consciousness.Hopefully through exploring,a new angel for the better understanding of Atwood's literary works can be provided. |
