摘    要:隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,也是一种思维方式,更是思维发展过程中的一种认知现象,是实现语言社会功能化的一种方式,在大学英语教学中,教师需要从语言文化、英语词汇、英语阅读等几个方面培养学生的隐喻能力。

Abstract:Metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon, but also a way of thinking and a cognition phenomenon during the thinking development, which is a means to realize the social function of language. In college English teaching, the students' metaphorical competence can be cultivated from Language and culture, English vocabulary and English reading, and therefore it's necessary to discuss the application of metaphor in college English teaching.
