| 摘 要： | 20世纪初留美高潮的兴起的直接导因是美国退还庚款,但也应该看到近代中国社会转型这一主因。在留美高潮的到来之前,民间和官方已通过各种途径重开派遣留美学生之路,这为留美高潮的到来奠定了一定的基础。而庚款留学开始后,晚清政府所组织的三次留美学生选拔考试,亦反映出近代中国转型的基本情形。就总体而论,留美高潮的兴起与近代中国社会的转型是密切关联的。

| Abstract: | America's returned Gengkuang was the direct causes of the rise of high tide studying in U.S.in the early 20th centuries.However,its main cause was the social transformation of modern China.The folk and governmental action had reopened the roads studying in U.S.,which laid a foundation for the arrival of the high tide.After beginning of Gengkuang studying abroad,three selection exams organized by Qing government for students to U.S.also reflecting the basic situation of transform in modern China.In a word,the rising high tide of Chinese students studying in U.S.had a close relation to the social transformation of modern China. |
